This was a knockout 20 over match held at Oakfield Park which was just as well because Gravesend could have scored more than 300 in a full match!. The skipper signalled his intent first ball by trying to hit Bob Dunkley back over his head for 6 instead the ball went up almost vertically. Adam made a brave attempt at the catch but like many others that were to follow it was spilt. The next two balls went for 6 and 4 and in three balls Bob had conceded as many as he had done all season.

Gravesend carried on in this vein and were scoring at more than 10 an over until the introduction of Liam Coleman. Liam took two wickets in 2 balls to put a brake on procedings and the match almost became normal! Bob took a couple of wickets but on a huge Oakfiel Park outfield there was lots of chasing to be done by the Dartechs fielders.

A score of 188 was not as bad as first feared and Old Dartechs started brightly when sent in to bat. Unfortunately the task proved beyond them as the only real hope was a big innings from Jock , and he couldnt continue with his rich vein of form. Clive made 29 runs, but really could only work the ball away for singles which was not good enough. In the fading light Jonathan scored his first runs of the season and managed to add another not out to his record total. The final score of 98 was not a disgrace against a pretty strong Gravesend side.
