Once we got over the shock Adam got us a game,they had no key to the dressing rooms,no colts or senior citizens,an average age of 28 and a league of nations team from new zealand,austrailia,india,sri lanka and south africa,we as a team contrived a cunning plan to enjoy the fantastic sunshine and clement breeze and let them bat 1st,otherwise it could have been over by 5 and drunk by 6!
However as a seasons opener we bowled and fielded well,resticting them to 160 odd for 8, with special mention to our colts,Brad who took a useful 2 wkts and James who bowled a better line with no luck,he did however get some classy runs and a not out facing some hostile bowling from a team dissapointed to not be competing in the IPL!
Well done again,a few runs shy and Johnny S at square leg with a few shin bruises! Chris,(stand in,stand in, skipper!)
